Tigerlily App

UX Prototype

I created an app prototype in Figma for a plant store called Tigerlily. I created a strong style and an easy-to-navigate layout. This app lets users shop for plants in two categories and learn about the company. I envisioned a style that seems upscale while feeling accessible to a wide audience. I developed a user-centered and pixel-perfect design. I created enough screens that a developer would need to understand the UX.

Style Board

When considering a style for Tigerlily I first considered that the store prides itself on providing the most personalized plant care for its patrons. When thinking about the style of the app I knew that having a wider, warmer color palette would feel inviting and eclectic. When choosing a type face I was drawn to the Dunbar families because of how they feel flexible and as if they have grown upward and outward like plants.

Navigation & Cards

The photography style that I chose feels saturated and full of life. Due to this style when creating cards I wanted the photography to be able to shine. Including mostly horizontal cards with plenty of white space helps the layout breathe and not feel overwhelming. The layout of the app follows the same principle of keeping information and elements very minimal to create an easy-to-navigate experience.

This project allowed me to balance personality with usability. By developing a warm, inviting visual style and a clear layout, I created an app experience that feels both elevated and intuitive.
